Familie Buisman<\/h3>\n

Door Mies Buisman<\/span>
Tandartspraktijk M.J.Buisman gevestigd sinds 1982 aan de Keizersgracht 144 te Amsterdam. Mijn grootvader P.H.Buisman vestigde reeds samen met zijn vrouw Mies, in 1910 een tandartspraktijk in Tiel. Destijds de enige praktijk voor de hele Betuwe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 1948 werd hij benoemd tot hoogleraar tandprothetiek in Utrecht. De praktijk werd overgenomen door mijn vader Dirk Buisman en mijn moeder Toos. Als oudste van het gezin ben ik in 1970 begonnen met de studie tandheelkunde, tevens in Utrecht. Wat ons allen na aan het hart lag was de tandheelkundige studentenvereniging John Tomes, waar mijn grootvader erevoorzitter van was.<\/p>\n

Ik heb in 1978 mijn praktijk gevestigd in Amsterdam. Eerst aan de Keizersgracht 441 en 4 jaar later in dit prachtige historische pand aan de Keizersgracht 144.<\/p>\n

Een tandarts heette vroeger tandmeester. De stad Tiel had er van 1910 tot 1970 wel een heel bijzondere binnen de grachten: professor Pieter Henri Buisman, geboren in 1888. Een leuk stukje uit de Tielenaar, van de eerste generatie Buisman lees je hier<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In deze tijd zijn er enkele dingen veranderd en gelukkig ook met betrekking op de tandheelkunde. Echter het vakmanschap in de familie Buisman gevestigd aan de gracht niet. De (tot nu toe) laaste generatie, dochter Frederike, is in 2021 aan de slag gegaan als praktijk manager.<\/p>\n
